Just Like His Dad

Let's face it, I gave birth to Ryan, Jr. when Taylor was born. He is Ryan through and through looks-wise but definitely has more my personality. Every where we go people comment on how much Taylor looks like Ryan. It really got scary when Taylor received his new football number for this year........

He's #39! I don't know if Ryan would ever admit it, but I think he's pretty proud and it was just by chance that Taylor got that number. Ryan called me from practice that night and the conversation went something like this:

Ryan: Guess what number Taylor got this year?
Me: #21? (I always say that number first because it was AB's number and it's legendary in my book).
Ryan: No.
Me: #19?
Ryan: No.
Me: #7, #30, #11?
Ryan: You aren't very good at this.
Me: There's a lot of numbers to choose from.
Ryan: What number was I in high school?
Me: Oh.

This won't be his number every year, completely a fluke thing this year. For those of you who are following this nail-biting season, Taylor's team is 2-1. They lost their first game this last Saturday to the Yellow Jackets. Tough team! They didn't totally blow us out this year like they did last year, so we are showing improvements.

Sorry Mom for using that word, but there are no other words to describe how hot it's been here on metal bleachers with no shade).
