Back In The Game

I've been in a real blogging funk this week. I have so many things to blog about, but no inspiration or creativtity to actually do it. It's been a very strange week for me that causes me to feel off balance. I knew that I was off balance when I brushed my teeth with Taylor's toothbrush this morning and didn't realize it until after I put his toothbrush away. I don't know who was more disgusted, me or Taylor. I'm just glad I didn't use Hurley's.

Colby had a follow up check-up on Monday for his ankle. He has been deemed well enough to get back on the court and play. CP said that Colby is two weeks further along in his healing than he thought he would be. I credit CP for that one! Colby doesn't have to wear the brace all day, either, just during P.E. and basketball practice. Colby's biggest concern is that he's out of shape. Where does he get that gene from? He's worried that his mile time isn't what it was before his injury. I told him to give it some time. Over the next five weekends, Colby will have a tournament, so his ankle will really be put to the test.

I was summoned for jury duty this week, too. I was very worried about it for some reason. I went to the courthouse on Wednesday and ended up sitting in a room full of other jurors for four hours becaus the courthouse kept losing power. They finally came on the microphone and told us that the trial we had been summoned for no longer needed a jury. So, I don't have to worry about that again unitl 2013.

We are headed to Palm Springs next month for a basketball tournament and I feel like I have struck the lottery. Palm Springs has always been one place I've wanted to visit. The hotel we have reservations at is amazing because of the scenery and the pool. I am very excited to go! Hopefully, we'll get to meet up with my neice, Shaila, and her cute family and spend some time together.

In other breaking news, another one of my nieces, Nicole, had a bady girl a couple of weeks ago. Her name is Alyvia (pronounced Olivia) Nicole Ure. She is so cute and tiny! Nicole and my sister, Barbie, have been sending pictures of her and everytime I get one, my ovaries do a backflip. It makes me so baby hungry to see a new baby, but I have to get over it! Ryan reminds me that the closest thing I will ever get to having another baby is 1 foot 2 inches, black, white, and furry. Oh, and he has dog breath and licks my nose every morning before I get out of bed.

See what I mean? My ovaries are backflipping!

Ahhhhhh, I just wrote out the longest comment every and then I lost it somehow. Annoying!!

Here's a quick rundown.....

My ovaries are back flipping too! Perfect description.

Colby is so determined, that's awesome.

I've dodged jury duty every time (newborns and moving) and I wasn't sad about it.

Palm Springs....oh la la. I've only heard amazing things about that beautiful place. Have fun!!

Awesome news for Colbs!! I am so excited for him to get back in the game. I only hope he can get that mile time back up :)

Careful with your ovaries-they are precious commodities! She is pretty sweet though.

Also Devin has Jury Duty next week. He's not scared...but I am!!

Haha, I cracked up at you using Taylor's toothbrush. Matt had to question my laughing and I had to admit to him that I've done the same thing with his.

My goodness that picture of Alyvia is to die for. It makes me not only more baby hungry, but especially for a sweet little girl!

Glad Colby's all healed up! Hope to see you this weekend!
