Tag, You're It!

Colby and Taylor recently had their spring break. They had a fun-filled week, even though they were home alone for three days while Ryan and I both worked. I then took Thursday and Friday off so the boys and I could play and do some fun things together! We got the genius idea that we would buy them their own tennis rackets for Easter so they could ride their bikes to the park and play. That was the best decision we have ever made! They had a great time going to the park to run off some energy while chasing the tennis ball. Ryan and I also bought rackets so we could play with them. We have had fun the last couple of weeks trying to get the game of tennis down.

On Friday of spring break, we went and played laser tag with our friends, the Gartins. Amy, the mom, is Colby's basketball coach in the summer and their family is a lot of fun! Jordan is Colby's age and Devan is a year younger than Taylor. Jeremy, the dad, is a professional photographer and does amazing work! We had a blast playing laser tag with them. Neither of us had played before so we learned together. We also learned that their are some people who are die hard laser tag players! Amy and I were a little nervous to play and we had this guy on our team who basically assigned everyone to their positions. He was a regular there!

Here is a picture of the four fellas together. Yes, Colby is that much taller than everyone else in the group! I can't keep him in pants or shoes! The boys all played two games and the adults only played one so we could visit. When the boys came out of the second game, they were all dripping with sweat. I think they must have done a lot of running. It was fun being with our friends, the Gartins. They are a wonderful family and Amy has contributed so much to Colby's basketball skills. We hope we can go again with them soon!
