The Fourth of July was very interesting for us this year! Taylor went home to Washington with my Mom and sister when they came down for their visit. He's been gone almost two weeks and we MISS him! We are all very ready for Taylor to come home, me especially! I don't like having my kids gone for very long, it's weird, and I miss them immediately! I don't know how I'll ever survive when they go on missions, but thousands of other mom's have done it, so I guess I can, too.
We usually spend the Fourth of July with the Ponds but Geniel is up to her eyeballs in Girls' Camp so they opted out this year. The three of us decided to pack a picnic and go watch the fireworks up at Lodi Lake after watching the "Deadliest Catch" marathon. I am addicted to the show, ask me anything about it and I can tell you.
We are deeply grateful for this beautiful land of freedom we live in and enjoy everyday. It was so good to see so many other people out celebrating our country's birthday and to know that there is still patriotism among us, even though at times I question that. We feel very blessed to be Americans and thank our forefathers for all they sacrificed so we could live here freely.
Then we got bored waiting for the fireworks to start being as we were there two hours early! You know I'm married to Mr. Timely, so things got a little silly.
Finally, the show started.
