Why The New Title?

Some of you may be wondering why I have re-titled our blog. As the boys get older, I realize that the testosterone in this house runs rampant! Don't get me wrong, I love my boys, but at times it would be nice to talk about something other than cars, sports, and what kind of noises they can make with their bodies. I realize that is why I was blessed with sisters, a mom, and friends! However, they can't be at my house with me 24-7 so the male conversation dominates the house.
I have also come to realize that no one but me cares about how the house looks or really if it's clean. I am also outnumbered in this, too. While I enjoy cleanliness and hygiene, those two things seem to be an inconvenience to them. I have to shut the door to Colby and Taylor's room because they go for such long stretches without cleaning it that I'm afraid I might be attacked. I know they could have a third person living in their room and not even know it. Okay, they are good about taking a shower but the cleanliness around the house? I could write a book about it!
It is also apparent that vocabulary words around here take on a whole new meaning! When I tell them to pick up their balls, meaning their basketballs by the front door, they snicker and laugh (Ryan is also included in this). Anytime I mention the word "nuts", again the snickering and laughing. Therefore, I have drawn the conclusion that my environment is similar to a Frat House, minus the alcohol and girls.
I really only say these things jokingly but sometimes I need some balance! I really do love these three boys and they bring me laughter everyday! They are all good to help out when asked and I know they love me, so what more can I say? I have written a couple of new posts below so feel free to read them to catch up on our lives in the Frat House.

I can totally see what you mean and being outnumbered. Although I'm already outnumbered, we are on our way to having all that you describe. I'm not looking forward to it, and I'm really trying to raise boys that love their mommy! Haha. I'm glad to know that I have two Aunts to help me along the way of all boys!!

I've already started to say stuff to the crew around here like....'This is NOT scout camp so we don't need conversations like that!'. The noises are what send me over the edge. The clicking, drumming, humming, whistling, burping....it never ends!

Girl's Night Out is a must for a mom with many boys around (husband included). Love the new posts, keep them coming!

All I can say is "hahahahaha-heeheehee!!" YOUR TURN!! I can definitely relate! And let me tell you something else...they NEVER outgrow it! We still have it here and it's worse when they are all together! The best way to overcome the testosterone?...go shopping!!!!!!!

Hey we're equally numbered boys to girls in this household but I can still relate to the snickering and noises! Of course I don't think many men grow out of that.
