We didn't want this time of year to come and go without wishing all our family and friends a Happy Easter! This little cutie-patootie showed up in our neighborhood a couple of weeks ago and I love him to death! I call him Peter. The pictures do not do him justice!
He has taken up residency in the neighbors yard across the street but I so badly want him to come over to my yard! He told me, "No, thank you", that he was too young to cross the street alone. His mama raised him right!
On a more serious note, we are deeply grateful for this time of year to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is wondeful to stop and pause over the life of our Savior and to reflect on all we have to be grateful for that He has done unselfishly in our behalf. We are so blessed to be members of the church and have had so many blessings come into our lives through our testimonies and obedience. It was wonderful to gather and listen to the words of our prophet this last weekend and to hear his counsel and the counsel of apostles. General Conference was very moving and emotional for us, especially Elder Holland's talk.
We want everyone to know that we know Jesus Christ lives and loves us individually. He is our advocate to our Father in heaven and knows us each personally. That brings great comfort to our lives! We know He suffered greatly so we may live again and have the opportunity to come to this earth and experience our own journeys. We are also grateful to be part of such great families and to have great friends. We are blessed beyond words for the love we share with our family members and friends! We pray that each of you have a wonderful Easter and a happy Spring season! We love you and are grateful for the role you play in our lives.

Great post Cara. Sums up my feeling for Easter and Elder Holland's talk. He is definitely one of my favorites.
I want your little neighbor pet. Tease him with some treats. Your yard is way better. Much greener, softer grass. Convince him!
Peter is very cute. And has impeccable timing. Have a happy Easter!!
Love the conversation you had with little Peter. You and LaVoy sure have quite a gift.
I love you Cara, thank you for sharing such great thoughts on Easter and General Conference. What a great example you have always been to me. Love you!
