Taylor's team really showed their stuff on Saturday! They were picked to lose their game against the South Stockton Vikings. They are a team that has a reputation for being undefeatable. Once the game started, they scored a touchdown right away. I thought to myself, "This is going to be a long game". But the Trojans were unstoppable and won the game 18-6.
I felt bad for the other team. They come from a pretty rough part of Stockton and sports, especially football is all they have, and I do mean ALL they have. You could see they were frustrated and upset. Taylor said when they would line up on the line, he could see the tears running down their faces. I asked him if it was sweat and he gave me that "you're so dumb" look and said, "Do you sweat out of your eyes?" I guess he has a point.
In other news, Colby is still going strong with his Water Polo league/camp. I haven't been able to get any pictures of him because by the time his game starts, it's too dark and my camera just shows a black picture. I don't know how excited Colby is to have his picture taken in his jammers anyway, but I'll try to get something to mark the moment. Ryan and I have decided hands-down that Water Polo is the toughest sport you could ever play. It is hard for me just to watch it. I think that's why Colby loves it, he loves a good challenge!
We (I) are definitely ready for fall to set it. These long California summers start to wear on me about July. Once Fall season starts, I want crisp and cool. Instead, it's been a hot week. Fall season marks for us the start of college basketball. Our team, UOP, has their Midnight Madness on October 15th and we're counting down . This is the first official practice of the season and we always go to start the season off. Most of our favorite players last year graduated so now we have to get to know a new team. I don't know if I can ever love another team as much as I loved the team this last year but I'm willing to try.

Good for Taylor! That must have been exciting to watch. Mom said they'd be able to watch the boys while they were down there play their games. I was going to come down with them but it sounds like you'll have a full house. And I think Mom thought I was coming to "escort" them.....wasn't pretty! Love ya!
I sweat out of every pore...just so Taylor knows. I think my nails sweat. Washington DC is HOTT. I am ready for fall too.
And since I am an idiot...what are jammers??
I google'd it. :) No wonder Colby doesn't wanna picture in those little beauties :) Poor little fellas...
