Colby's News

In the AAU world there are basketball camps that you want to be invited to. Colby has known this for some time and has been talking non-stop about the Adidas Phenom Camp in San Diego. He knew that his coach was going to pick someone from the team to go and I know he has had his hopes that it would be him. I guess last Saturday was his lucky day.............

Opening the invitation.

Colby is going to the national camp the beginning of August. There were some Adidas reps. at the tournament we went to in L.A. and they liked what they saw. There are a few other boys from Blackout who will be going with him but he's pretty excited to get the invitation. Colby will be followed by scouts from now on as a result of this camp. They will keep tabs on him until he graduates from high school. We'll never know when they're around but they will be watching.

Reading the invitation.

I am very proud of Colby and all the hard work he has put in to this sport. I am also reminded again of why I love where we live so much. Colby and Taylor have had so many opportunites come their way that I believe would not have happened for them anywhere else.

One happy boy!

And you are right some of the opportunities would have not happened living anywhere else. Always love reading your posts.

Wow! We miss out on so much living apart! That sounds like an awesome opportunity for him. With so much thrown at kids these days it's great to see a young man occupying his time in a productive way. Hold tight to your values, Colby! That's what will get you far because the blessings will be added to you.....Congratulations!
